Jodi Monelle, Klaus Mitchell, and Vikas Garg share their experiences on how their platforms contribute to the Green Movement.
Jodi Monelle is the Founder and CEO of global media company LIVEKINDLY. Inspired to create a platform for those curious about changing to a more ethical lifestyle, and drawing upon an early love of design, professional experience in media and technology, LIVEKINDLY was launched in spring-2017. The platform is used to demonstrate how accessible and enjoyable the vegan lifestyle can be, through a supportive, inclusive and positive community for all. It is currently the fastest Founder & CEO growing vegan media publisher reaching more than 40 million people a month in under one year of operation.
Klaus’ background as a scientist underpins his thorough approach that has helped make Plant Based News one of the leading digital media outlets on the latest developments of the industry. He graduated from the University of Exeter with a bachelor’s degree in Human Biosciences in 2013. He holds a master’s degree in Genetics of Human Disease. Klaus is experienced in several research roles, including at Kings College London (Department of Twin Research and Genetic Epidemiology) and Portsmouth University (Institute of Marine Sciences). He has had a number of writing roles, including authoring an article published in the journal of Public Health Nutrition, which explores the effects of diets on various health markers. He is also a filmmaker of the documentaries Vegan 2016 and Vegan 2017.
Vikas is the Founder and CEO of abillionVeg, a social media and consumer internet platform launched in 2017, accelerating a global consumer movement towards plant-based living. Prior to launching abV, Vikas spent his career in finance as an analyst, portfolio manager and fund manager at CalPERS, Dymon Asia Capital, Credit Suisse First Boston and 1/0 Capital. Vikas is involved with grassroots minority education initiatives and animal welfare programmes around the world. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta and resides in Singapore.
