Corey Vernon, Peter Strugatz, and Roger Lienhard speak on the importance of impact investment and what it means for the future.
Peter is an early member of the mission-driven business community as an entrepreneur and an investor. His ability to analyse and assess both impact and scalability led him to invest early in today’s successful sustainability superstars including Stonyfield Farm Yogurt and Zipcar. Peter’s resume includes 16 years as CEO of manufacturing companies, 8 years as a full-time social angel investor, and 4 years of consulting and coaching mission-driven entrepreneurs and investors. After 20 years working with and investing in social enterprises, Peter launched lceStone as Co-founder and co-CEO, one of the first sustainable building product companies and the number one sustainable countertop solution.
Corey is a Senior Associate at Radicle Impact Partners, which provides early stage growth capital for transformative companies in the areas of good food, good money and good energy. She is passionate about supporting exceptional entrepreneurs who are building businesses to create an equitable and regenerative future. Prior to joining Radicle Impact in 2015, Corey was an Analyst at ING Capital, where she focused on providing structured acquisition financing for leveraged buyout transactions. Corey earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
Roger is a serial entrepreneur and business incubator. He is also the Founder and Initiator of the Blue Horizon Corporation and affiliated Blue Horizon International Foundation, which invests in sustainable social entrepreneurship and international development projects with a focus on food and agriculture around the globe. Roger’s primary objective is to generate synergies between the associate companies for maximum impact on the major global shift towards more sustainable solutions in food and agriculture.
